Marvão Ciudad Medieval del Alentejo Portugués

marvao-ciudad-medieval-del-alentejo-portugues

The calm and confident atmosphere that permeates the city, could be the result of a well learned past with numerous wars that devasted Marvao, Alentejo Portuguese medieval town. We went there on a day that sun stuck to the soul but in spite of high temperatures, we walked around its cobblestone streets decisively and finally ended up eating in the panoramic restaurant of the Pousada de Sta. Maria de Marvao that offered us traditional Portuguese food from the area. From its balcony there's a great views of the Alentejo and the Serra da Estrela. The restaurant is part of a charming hotel, built in the Natural Park of the Sierra de San Mamede. We loved its dessert of vinegar and migas, typical of the area. If you pass through Marvao I recommend you a dining experience at the Pousada de Sta. Maria de Marvao. Follow my social networks: Alianzo that you don't miss any of my updates!
